Splurge or Save

Have you ever been caught in the moment? This happened to us when we ordered the new furniture for Pudge's room last spring. 2 interior designers came in from LaZBoy after we went there and picked out the couch. They measured the room and talked to us about likes and dislikes. Then they came up with a plan--wall colors, furniture placement, rug, accessories, etc....
OK we knew we wanted the couch and the rug. They bought material for decorative pillows for the couch. The colors matched all the colors and in the picture it seemed to bring life to the mocha couch. OK--they are custom made and expensive for a decorative pillow. But we decided to bite the bullet and go for it. To make a long story short--in the fall the patterned pillows were on back order and did not come with the furniture. We waited about 1 month and they still were not here. Decided that I could find something cheaper that would work. Well I didn't but Shannon did. Picture above are the pillows she found. I like them better than the custom made ones because they were a different shape and added more interest. Not only that but the price was $6.99 each for a total of $14.00. Here are the custom made ones that were on back order. Do you think they are the same material? I do. Yes, these are bigger but like I said I like the smaller better. These would have cost $55.00 a piece for a total of $110. It goes without saying that I am pleased with this outcome .
